------------------------------------------------------------------------------
v1.21a to v1.21b
------------------
To upgrade, simply unarchive the EDSBack archive into a word directory.
Then run the INSTALL program and select the "Upgrade" option. Then
select the version from which you are upgrading. If the version you are
upgrading from is not in the list, it is adviseable that you run the
"First-time Installation" selection.
See the UPDATE.HIS file for the changes in this release.
v1.21 to v1.21a
-----------------
Version 1.21a is even more minor than v1.21 was. Basically, it is merely
a caller-id fix, and contains some documentation corrections.
See the UPDATE.HIS file for the changes in this release.
v1.20 to v1.21
----------------
Version 1.21 is an extremely minor update in which some debugging code
was removed that was left in v1.20. To upgrade, simply unarchive the
EDSBack archive into a work directory. Then run the INSTALL program
and select the "Upgrade" option. Then select the version from which
you are upgrading. If the version you are upgrading from is not in
the list, it is adviseable that you run the "First-Time Installation"
selection.
See the UPDATE.HIS file for the changes in this release.
v1.15 to v1.20
----------------
To upgrade from a previous version of EDSBack, simply unarchive the
EDSBack archive into a work directory. Then run the INSTALL program
and select the "Upgrade" option. Then select the version from which
you are upgrading. If the version you are upgrading from is not in
the list, it is adviseable that you run the "First-Time Installation"
selection.
See the UPDATE.HIS file for the changes in this release.
v1.14 to v1.15
----------------
No file formats have changed.
Make sure the file EDSCAL is present in your EDSBACK directory. This file
has taken the place of the prompt displayed prior to hanging up on the
caller. EDSCAL is located in the DISPLAY.ZIP archive. Don't forget to
unarchive this file.
A few of the HELP files have been updated. The help files are located in
the HELP.ZIP archive...
See HISTORY and UPDATE.HIS for more update information... These two files
are located in the DOCS.ZIP archive...
v1.13 to v1.14
----------------
A number of things have been changed, added, fixed, and optimized in v1.14
of EDSBack. If you follow these simple steps, you shouldn't have a
problem.
STEP #1: Considering you have already unarchive the EDSBK114.ZIP file
into a directory OTHER than your EDSBack directory, copy all
.PPE files to your EDSBack directory.
STEP #2: Copy the following files to your EDSBack directory, as they
have been changed since the last release:
BETACYCL.TST
EDSAD
EDSAE
EDSBACK.DOC
EDSBE
EDSCS
EDSCT
EDSNE
EDSNMNU
EDSP
EDSTE
EDSWC
FILE_ID.DIZ
FILES.TXT
HISTORY.
REGISTER.EDS
SYSOP.MSG
USER.MSG
STEP #3: Go into the Configuration Toggles, Configuration Settings,
Configuration Paths, and Registration Info and make sure all
settings are correct.
STEP #4: (J)ump to the following prompt numbers and type (R)eset to
change them to the new prompts that have replaced them.
Record #33
Record #41
Record #49
Record #61
Record #62
Record #63
Record #64
Record #65
In addition to doing this, you must go to Record #65 and do the
following:
Change the (T)ype to 4 - Logging Prompt
Change (L)inefeed to No
STEP #5: Exit the prompt editor and type A from the EDSUtil main menu.
At the next menu, type N to Index the Allowed # Calling file.
That should be it. If you have any problems upgrading, please call E.D.S.
Development (GO/4 MIDWEST SUPPORT HUB) at (812) 423-3394 and leave a
message for ERIC SCALES in conference #4.
